Freebies

The free seems to be flowing in my blog o’sphere lately. Lots of talk of sugary drinks, coupons, etc,. As it is still the month of my birth, I’ve cashed in on a couple Corporate Dining perks, enjoying both a shortbread cookie and burger this week at no cost to me. Also good reminders to keep up with my running. My best freebies go beyond that though.

13.1 Tomorrow

I was working on another post for today. It’s postponed. If I posted something else, I wouldn’t be able to share this very important, very timely announcement.

Importance being completely relative.

I’m running my first half marathon tomorrow. Insert a bunch of anxiety and excitement noises here.

Free Stuff

Friday posts tend to be about the the crap I buy. That’s fine with me, because its a seemingly bottomless pool of subject matter. Easily accessibly for me with a quick trip around the house or a review of the receipts in my wallet.

During my last such stuff perusal, I took note of not all things I’ve bought which I still adore, but all the items that have entered my life free of charge. Things I am nonetheless enamored with, that came to me with no exchange of money.

Going, Going,…

We are going to be gone all weekend. It’s a whirlwind trip to rural Oregon, chalk full of family and birthdays and eating, oh my!

I will also be capitolizing on my rural location to do a little shopping. Hitting up the small town Farmer’s Market, where prices are cheaper. Shopping the un-trendy Farm Supply Stores (as opposed to the trendy ones here) in hopes of finding a better price on a pickling crock and perhaps electric fencing for Chicken paddocks.

Speaking of Chickens, I’m concerned about Pet Sitters, and certain dogs in this household, prone to take advantage of the any disturbance in the force for bad behavior. I guess we will find out just how secure the Lady’s set up is, wont we?
