Official Officiant

Blue dress has been usurped by purple dress. Purple dress fits better, and is frankly more flattering. It is nonetheless, still borrowed.

What’s with all the wardrobe woes? For someone who delays clothing shopping as long as humanly possible, this is an awful lot of mental cycle expenditure. What you are going to wear is important sometimes. Sometimes, like when you are performing wedding ceremonies. Oh, you didn’t know I was a minister. A reverend. Neither of those quite works. How about a card carrying, internet ordained officiant? Licensed to marry people (not just The Husband) in this state at least. Ah yup. Secret talent? There you are.

So this weekend I am away. On a wedding weekend. Someone else’s wedding weekend. I’ve a small part to play. Hence, the borrowing of clothes and concerns about how they actually look.

Warning: There will be no Sunday Spending. Because I’ll be spending Sunday (har!) sunning it up poolside, in preparation for the use of powers invested in my by the laws of State and Internet.

The life of an official is hard. Pity me and my great burden. Then, have a lovely weekend.
